euTALK+ Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the euTALK package cost?

With euTALK customers pay £7.25 per month. Our service euTALK is Direct Debit mandatory. Payments by other methods incur a £1.00 surcharge.

What is the euTALK service?

You can enjoy FREE calls (up to one hour per call) to all UK landlines at anytime.

How much will my calls cost?

All calls to any UK landline number at any time (for up to an hour per call) are FREE of charge for the first 60 minutes and are charged at 2.5 pence (including VAT) per minute thereafter. Please note that this excludes calls to non-geographic numbers such as 08XX, 09XX, no-mobile 07XX and premium rated numbers.

When will euTALK be available?

Our new service euTALK was launched on the 23rd July 2005

Can I switch to euTALK from my existing package?

Yes, if you switch from your existing service package your new euTALK package will take effect from the 1 st day of the following month.

Can I add or remove Service Extras in any month?

Customers who are on the new service package may add or remove any product extras. All changes will be valid from the 1st day of the following month, for a minimum of one month.

Can I carry over unused minutes to the following month on my mobile service extra?

Unused minutes cannot be carried over to the following month.

Will TalkNow remain available as a residential offering?

Yes euTALK replaces TalkNow, however TalkNow will be available until 31st July 2005. After this date all applications will be placed onto the new euTALK service.

Does a minimum contract term apply?

No, there is no minimum contract term for the euTALK service.

Will I be charged if a call runs longer than 60 minutes?

Yes, all calls with a call duration greater than 60 minutes incur a minimum call charge of 4.7p (incl. VAT) for the first minute and a standard rate of 2.5p per minute for all subsequent minutes.

Do these UK residential landline products have a minimum contract period?

Yes, euTALK+ 12 = 12 month contract, euTALK+ 18 = 18 month contract

Will these products replace the existing UK euTALK residential landline product?

No, euTALK will remain as it will be offer you a choice of a non-contract service

What is the penalty for cancelling your service before the end of the contract period?

100% of the total remaining monthly service charges that would have been payable had the contract gone on for its remaining term

What are the key differences between the two products?

Apart from the contract periods the key differences are as follows:

euTALK+ 18

Only £1 per month for the first six months
The monthly fee is £5.99 per month after this period

euTALK+ 12

The monthly fee is £7.25 for the duration of the contract period

There are no other differences

Are the free international landline calls capped at 60 minutes per call like the local and national calls?

Yes, this works in exactly the same way. You can redial after 60 minutes and the call will remain free.

Are there any bolt-ons (service options) associated with these services?

No, there are no bolt-on services associated with these products

Is there a cooling off period and how long is it?

You have 14 calender days in which to cancel your service if you so wish

Can I change to another Euphony landline service at anytime?

You may change your service once you have finished the contract term of
either 12 or 18 months
